| In
2004, QPS established an Asian presence by opening a state-of-the-art,
bioanalytical LC/MS/MS facility in Taipei, Taiwan, offering strategic
solutions to Asia-Pacific Rim companies as well as US-based companies
with sites or trials overseas or simply want to off-shore studies
in Asia. Systems, processes, and the procedures developed and fine-tuned
in QPS-US were transferred and implemented in QPS-Taiwan facility.
Regular cross-training are schedule between the technical and QS
staff of QPS-US and QPS-Taiwan.
Although integrated,
each facility retains its local identity and local responsiveness,
allowing sponsors to choose the QPS location that best fits their
global needs. Currently, QPS-Taiwan has 4 LC/MS/MS instrument
for GLP studies. All GLP assays are validated in compliance with
the latest FDA, OECD, and MHLW Guidance.
QPS-Taiwan
also offers discovery dog pharmacokinetic with our Taiwan affiliated
AAALAC-accredited animal facility. The work-flow of a typical
discovery dog pharmacokinetic study is as follows:
►The discovery protocol
is developed in Taiwan, and reviewed by QPS-US and the US sponsor.
►The compound is shipped
directly from the Sponsor to QPS-Taiwan. Most of the compound
is then allocated to the in-life facility.
►QPS-Taiwan develops the
bioanalytical method, concurrent to the in-life study.
►QPS-US oversees the in-life
part and directly communicates with the US sponsors if there are
any unexpected observations.
►The samples are analyzed
by QPS-Taiwan.
►QPS-US review the data,
perform the PK calculation, and generate the discovery report.

Directions
from the Chiang Kai-Shek International Airport to QPS Taiwan.
1. Follow signs out of the airport on National Hwy #2 Airport
connect to National Hwy #1.
2. National
Hwy #1 north toward Taipei.
3. Leave Hwy
#1 at the Donghu Interchange off ramp.
4. At Donghu
Interchange, turn right to Nankang. Cross Nanhu bridge.
5. Stay on
the right to Sanchong Rd. Turn right to Yuanchu St. (there is
a 7-11 on the corner).
6. QPS Taiwan
is located on level 12 of Building F, Nan Kang Biotech Park.
